Meet the Team: Alex Bryant

Tell us more about yourself

I was born in Bristol and moved to Monmouth, my partner’s hometown in 2019.  Outside of work, I enjoy walking accompanied by our dog, a Hungarian vizsla called Olive.  I’m also a keen gardener and enjoy exploring all parts of the UK and further afield.  I’m a collector of vintage garden tools and have a keen interest in vintage tractors which some of my colleagues may not know!

How long have you been at Chunc and what are your main roles and responsibilities?

I have worked for Chunc for 12 months where my role as Production/Design Assistant & Technical Liaison entails assisting with the production, design and technical details of our chairs.  Every day is different and varied. On a typical day, I assemble chairs, collaborate on R & D innovation and design projects, liaise with technical suppliers, our seating specialists as well as our sales administration and production team to ensure our products are built on time, to client specifications and to the highest standard.  I also provide technical support and deliver product training to our clients.

What attracted you to joining Chunc?

What attracted me to joining Chunc was my desire for a new challenge, working in an industry I’m passionate about, a family business with an excellent reputation, a track record of employee progression, and an environment where both career and personal development are encouraged.  I’ve always had a passion for design and engineering, a keen eye for detail and my role at Chunc more than accommodates this. It appeals to me that we design, engineer, test and manufacture all of our wheelchairs in-house in the UK – yes, all of our products really are designed and manufactured in our Herefordshire factory!

Our team takes great pride in crafting innovative and adaptable wheelchairs designed to maintain and support complex postural needs.
